Designer Tips 

Director of Interior Projects at Masa Studio, Tina Lai, helps clients from wideness the world visualize their dream space. To bring the client’s ideas to life, Tina’s secret is to alimony in mind the scale and proportion of your furniture and the unrelatedness between the colors and materials in the room. 

When her studio is selecting art for clients, it’s no surprise that they go through dozens of works (and likely coffee) followed by a rigorous study of the selection in renderings of the space.

Her most important tip is to, “Identify what your heart loves, squint at the space where the work will be placed and requite the versifier the parameters of size and trust the versifier to create something new.” So if you find yourself a little picky without viewing thousands of artworks at the fair, no stress – commissions can be discussed with the pearly and artist.

Faye Orlove, founder of Junior High LA, has a slightly variegated tideway when sourcing art. 

She wants to know what the artists’ bedrooms requite away. She enjoys, “…seeing the spaces people curate for themselves and the things that make them finger well-appointed and cozy.” Faye loves creating a full picture in her throne of the home the versifier was raised in and how art became a priority. 

What does your dream bedroom squint like? Maybe your vision includes items and colors you loved growing up. Create a Pinterest workbench envisioning your dream home and see how you can incorporate this inspiration into your own home or apartment.
