How to Present a Spoon with an Easter Bunny
This craft can be displayed in a variety of ways. Of course, I adore using them in Easter baskets, but there are a ton of other uses for them! Here are some of my best suggestions for using these adorable little bunnies.
-
Put the spoons in place throughout the house so that the tops just show above mantles, counters, and other surfaces. This will give the impression that the bunnies are behind it or are emerging from the earth.
-
Place the spoons on the plants so that the heads of the bunnies are visible. So why not adorn your favorite lily or iris plant with a charming bunny?
-
Arrange the bunnies in the yard so that they are scattered around the space.
-
Fill an Easter basket for your children with the rabbits.
-
Utilize the bunnies for your Easter dessert and on your table.
-
Place them as a playful adornment at your Easter table by slipping them into your napkin ring and place settings.
-
With your children, do an entertaining Easter skit using them as puppets.
See how adorable it is to turn a planter into an Easter bunny. This would look great on your mantle next to your spoon bunnies, or even outside on a front porch ledge. These suggestions go perfectly with this simple paper bunny garland, but then again, I really do appreciate all things adorable, bunny-related, and holiday-themed.

How to Create a Bunny Out of a Plastic Spoon
-
For every spoon, cut out two pieces of white paper in the shape of ears.
-
To make these ears resemble bunny ears, use the pink marker to fill in the center of each ear.
-
Attach these to the spoon by using adhesive to flip the spoon over so that the front is now the bottom and the ears are attached to the spoon's "bowl" as indicated.
-
Draw a basic rabbit face on with a black marker. To make a fun range of rabbits, give each face a little individuality.
-
Cut a short burlap piece into a bow shape.
-
Adhere the burlap to the desired form using glue, and then adorn the center where it folds with a tiny ribbon bow.
-
This bow should be glued to the boy bunny just below the base of the face/spoon.
-
Make a bow similar to this one for the girl bunny, but fold it off-center so that one end of the bow is longer than the other to make a garment. Next, adhere a Q-tip precisely beneath the face, and subsequently, adhere the bow vertically to create the illusion of a dress.
-
Place these inside your children's Easter baskets, on your mantel, as a centerpiece, or added to potted plants.
Pro Tip: Compared to craft or hobby stores, I can get larger rolls of burlap on Amazon for less money. This makes crafting more inexpensive and provides me with a significant supply on hand at all times. Furthermore, if you want to use wooden spoons for this project rather than plastic ones, I suggest painting your face on the spoon with craft paints like DecoArt or Apple Barrel acrylic paints. The spoons themselves are available on Amazon in multi-packs of wooden spoons, but for an alternative option, I really like these straightforward wooden tasting spoons.
Can I Use Wooden Spoons to Make These?
Wooden spoons can definitely be used to make these. While using wooden spoons will make them last much longer, using plastic spoons will make this project more affordable. The wooden spoons can be left brown, or you can paint each spoon first to stick with the white theme. To achieve the greatest possible impact when painting the spoons, seek for acrylic paint or another paint that has been approved for use on wood.
Although a wooden spoon is slightly bigger, it may be a wonderful addition to centerpieces, potted plants, or even outside in your yard. You can add them to your Easter décor for many years to come because they are more durable and will endure longer.
